Course Description

Session 4: Sessions 1, 2 and 3 of this 4-part series covered holistic airtightness solutions/techniques for sloped roofs, flat roofs, decks, above grade walls, below grade assemblies, windows, doors, and curtain walls. In Session 4, all the learning lessons of those sessions will be integrated towards developing complete sets of building envelope details for an example building. The session is supported by 40 mobile building envelope assembly mock-ups, product samples, case studies, photos, 3D drawings, demonstrations, and group work.

Hamid Heidarali, P.Eng, Hamid Design Build

Hamid Heidarali is a Building Science specialist at HDB with a strong passion for high performance buildings that minimize their impact on the environment, while providing superior experience for occupants. He has been providing Building Science engineering on a wide range of projects in Canada over the past two decades. Hamid taught building envelope courses to Masters students at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) from 2015 till 2020, and offers holistic building envelope workshops for the construction professionals on a regular basis.
