This month’s Builders Breakfast webinar, presented in collaboration with HAVAN’s

Governmental Relations Committee will provide a comprehensive primer on recent

changes to provincial regulations allowing for changes to DCC and ACC payments,

including the use of On-Demand Surety Bonds in lieu of Revocable Letters of Credit.

We will be joined by professionals involved in the development of the regulations, local

government staff and an insurance provider sharing their perspectives on the

opportunities and benefits for our members who hope to use this new financing tool.

Joshua Craig

Joshua Craig serves as the Director, Local Government Infrastructure and Finance for the Ministry of Housing and Municipal Affairs. Joshua has sixteen years of experience with the local government finance system British Columbia and is at the forefront of evolving development financing tools.

Bob Sloat

Bob Sloat is the Regional Director, Western Canada, for the Surety Association of Canada (SAC). The SAC is the national trade advocacy association that represents the interests of the surety industry across Canada. Recently, Bob provided support to the Provincial Government in the development of on-demand surety bonds as an alternate financing tool to the use of irrevocable letters of credit.
